We’re just three weeks away from LUCKY BREAK hitting bookshelves! I’m so excited for you all to meet Eliza, her sweet-as-can-be brother, Enzo, the quirky (and secretive) residents of Loon Lane, the inconveniently handsome Joel Jawowski, and, of course, Potato, the three-legged dachshund mix.
To celebrate, I’m giving away a $25 Bookshop.org gift card AND mailing out exclusive swag to every reader who preorders a copy of my book!
I know it might feel a little counterintuitive to order a book weeks (or even months) before you can read it. We’re all used to getting the things we want right now.
So why do authors keep asking people to preorder their books?
The short answer? Because our publishers tell us to ;)
The longer answer? Because preorders matter. A lot.
Preorders signal to publishers and booksellers that there’s real interest in a book. That early support can lead to bigger orders, more visibility, and ultimately, a better chance for a book to find its readers. Preordering is a small act that makes a big difference.
I’m so immensely grateful to everyone who has (or will!) preorder LUCKY BREAK that I wanted to do something special to say thank you. So, between now and July 14th, if you preorder a copy of LUCKY BREAK in any format from any retailer, I’m going to send you a bundle of goodies inspired by the book!
AND…
One lucky reader will also receive a $25 Bookshop.org gift card!
Every person who enters will receive:
Six recipe cards featuring dishes inspired by the book…
A LUCKY BREAK bookmark…
A map of Juneberry Lake…
Stickers…
And a signed bookplate!
One *lucky* winner will also receive a $25 gift card to Bookshop.org!
Entering the giveaway (and getting your hands on all this LUCKY BREAK swag) is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Whether you’re here for the recipes, the stickers, the three-legged dog, or the Hallmark-esque small town, I’m so glad you’re on this journey with me. Your support means everything, and I truly can’t wait to share this new story with you.
One last thing…
Last week I promised to reveal the completed map of Juneberry Lake and I’m a woman of my word! So, here it is in all of its small-town glory…
This gorgeous map (and the bookmarks, recipe cards, and Juneberry Lake logo) were designed by the incredibly talented Ana Neibauer. You can follow her on Instagram at @wildandwonderbyana.
